Why haven't we heard anything from the NAS about the number we need to hit? Nothing in the news, etc. Seems odd.

$25m is the number. Might be able to juggle and squeeze under that, but that should get us there free and clear. From last night's meeting.

I agree...he met with ATF, NAS & SGA and none of them have actually publicized the number. Why?

Watts idea of transparency is a concrete wall.

I got that number directly from someone who was sitting at the table.

I would suspect that Watts has told the groups he has met to not disclose the number. Otherwise one would think at least ONE of the groups would have publicly mentioned it. Luckily there are some sane individuals among those who have been told that have been able to leak it. However, this begs the question, what are Watt's motives behind not publicly disclosing the "magic number"? I think we can all form a rough guess.

My first guess would be "So he can move the goal posts".

After what I heard last night I felt as good, as optimistic as I have since late October or so. I heard a lot of good and hopeful things.

Then ten minutes later I read something that scared the whee out of me, not so much about football as long term.

I'm to the point where I just want to maintain an even strain and wait out Monday. I'm so sick of this crap.

Agreed. It has been a saga that's been truly stranger than fiction. But in an essence UAB has always held a little of that for me.
