So much goes into getting 55-60 guys on the same page as opposed to other sports.

You guys were 9-4 last year right? If you went 5-7 I might see your point, but If anything, wouldn't that back up the App fan optimism? Even after losing your star WR and things not going as planned, you had a pretty good season.

There is a reason the number opened at 8, and jumped to 8.5, and now you have to bet $215 to win $100 on the over. I don't think a bunch of homer App fans are the ones who moved that line..

So in those 2 ganes you were a kick away, was there nothing in the entire game that went against the other team? It's easy to look at just the end of the game and say that but that's why you play an entire game. You can disect a 12-0 season and turn it into 6-6. I didn't always like the saying or cliche but now I totally back it..you are what your record says you are.

No, all four kicks in my post were from one game in which we out gained the opponent by 130 yards and ten minutes in TOP. It truly was a masterful disaster on special teams. It's been a long time since I was that frustrated watching a football game.

Welcome to Georgia Southern football circa 2012.

I like the under for App. I don't see them getting 9 wins this year.

Losses to Clemson, Southern, ULL, and Arkansas State?

Perhaps. Obvious loses to Clemson and Southern. Louisiana, stAte, Old Dominion and ULM will be tough. I think you'll have a really good season, but you guys aren't far enough removed from that Liberty loss for me to put you at 9 wins.

Wait, what? Obvious loss to Southern? I think not. We'll see you in Boone.

Appy fans are hilarious. Not like Boone is some fortress anymore. When's the last time Appy had a stellar home record?

App is 11-4-1 vs. GS in Boone.

I challenge you to find another program you've played away 5 times with a worst record for GS (other than UGA of course).

and the last time they won in Boone was 2007, gotta love some of the GS fans, trying to convince themselves their going to have a shot of winning this year, or almost any year in Boone.

I really didn't think you needed to put a time qualifier on there... Seemed to work if you stopped at "posting".

Think GS does win in Boone this year and goes on to win 10 games (in the regular season). We lose WVU, but shock UGA. Beat the MAC, but lose one away to someone unexpected (not Appy). Place 2nd or 3rd in the G5 and win the inaugural Cure Bowl against a vastly over-matched AAC team.

Again, this is a team that was destroyed in Boone by USA and took it in the ace to Liberty. I won't even get into all the home losses in 2013.

Let’s see how we did (results in alphabetical order):

Appalachian State: Over/Under: 8.5 wins, Result: OVER by 1.5

Arkansas State: Over/Under: 7 wins, Result: OVER by 2

Georgia Southern: Over/Under: 7.5 wins, Result: OVER by 0.5

Georgia State: Over/Under: 2.5 wins, Result: OVER by 3.5

Idaho: Over/Under: 3.5 wins, Result: OVER by 0.5

UL-Lafayette: Over/Under: 8 wins, Result: UNDER by 4

UL-Monroe: Over/Under: 4 wins, Result: UNDER by 2

New Mexico State: Over/Under: 3 wins, Result: PUSH

South Alabama: Over/Under: 3.5 wins, Result: OVER by 1.5

Texas State: Over/Under: 7 wins, Result: UNDER by 4

Troy: Over/Under: 4 wins, Result: PUSH

Conference Totals:
6 OVER
2 PUSH
3 UNDER

So I suppose that means we exceeded expectations! And all 4 of the bowl teams did not need the potential bowl win to exceed their over/under win total.

I really like the over on Troy, Ark St., and GS as well.

Why didn't I trust my gut and place these bets...
