BBJ: If UAB revives football, it needs to go all the way
http://www.bizjournals.com/birmingham/ne...e-way.html

Quote:But, if Watts and school administrators do decide to bring football back, they can’t simply bring back the status quo.

UAB football, as it existed before, was a series of vicious cycles...

UAB can’t afford to take more half-measures with a revived football program. It needs to fully invest in the program and the facilities that will allow the program to benefit the school, bring in revenue and be an asset for the Birmingham area.

When UAB reinstates football, it must be guided by the facility developments we see in the top high school programs around Alabama. These were enumerated in an article I posted in the B&G forum as a guide list for UAB to prove it is seriously intent on success. It will be expensive but that is modern football in this day.
