Look what I found: vintage footage from 1970 and 71 football games.
With a little digging, I found some footage from early-1970s EMU football games against UW-Milwaukee in the Milwaukee archives uploaded to Youtube. Cool stuff!
There's four videos, all without color and without sound. Three from 1970, sorted by offensive and defensive plays, from a 35-0 Huron win at the newly minted Rynearson Stadium. The fourth, which shows offensive highlights from 1971, documents our 31-0 win in Milwaukee. Back-to-back shutouts? Not bad.
Just wanted to share with you all here. At the least, it's a nice little distraction from the offseason bickering. Enjoy!

Dear Frank,
Thanks. It was nice to see that game in 1970 especially since that was Larry Ratcliff's last year. He was number 25 and had that sixty or seventy yard touchdown early in the game. If I am not mistaken, I think this was the game in which he injured his knee, and would not play in the bowl game against Louisiana Tech. Others were Chip Gooden, number 10, and Mike Yankee, number 31. Larry Ratcliff was, in my opinion, one of the best running backs we ever had, and is in the Eastern Athletic Hall of Fame.
I think Don Stewart was number 12. He also is in the Hall of Fame.

The old visitor bleachers. The turf had E M U and U W M in the end zone...

Dear Frank,
Also meant to say that those uniforms of the Boisture era are my all time favorite uniform for Eastern football. I especially liked the EMU on the shoulders.
