I haven't read the whole thing but I part cringed and part laughed at the fact that London was one of the finalist for the HC job (anyone recall who else was?).

BW also mentions 2018 for the new stadium being completed.

Great article. As Monarch fans, we have been truly fortunate to have him as our head football coach. I cannot imagine that a better hire could have been made.

I would say that thus far ODU's revived football program has led a charmed existence. (No) Knock on Wood!

I chopped this out of the article:

So on the facility part of things, they're going to build us an incredible practice facility. They're doing a $5 million renovation on it starting this summer. So that's part of it."

Was he referring to a 5 million dollar reno on the football practice facility?

There is a renovation being done to the LR Hill complex the same time as they break ground on the basketball practice facility.

It's mainly going to expand the weight room and provide a few more offices

More that 20 years ago, Norfolk invested in a very successful p.r. campaign touting its various attractions and achievements -- "___________ -- Part of What Makes Norfolk Great".

It was applied to virtually everything with any connection whatsoever to the City. It finally petered out at the point when it started to become silly -- "Tony's Hotdogs -- Part of What Makes Norfolk Great".

I am not much of a football fan, and I was a naysayer from the start. But it has flourished to totally unexpected levels -- due first and foremost to the incredible talents of Coach Wilder, but also to all of the other factors to which he gives credit.

Expand the locker room and team meeting room. There are several more FBS players as FCS players now.
