Dear less..there are ways to skewer someone in a sly way (see Cal). This was very heartfelt and genuine.
Sorry, I don't know that to be true. I am not that naïve. Coach Collins is a smart man. His interview insured that no bridges were burnt and future hiring for whatever positions are in full-play. Only an idiot would rag on his former employer or even hint at it. That's if, he had anything bad to say, I don't know. It's a no issue exit interview which plays well for future employment. It's as though maybe someone expected sour grapes but instead got a sweet drink. Maybe, the real question is what were you expecting from a life long assistant who knows what side his bread is buttered on?

I just feel it's a big none issue not worth glorifying but if you want to stroke him be my guess. It's just been too sensitive around here lately, it's like you can't discuss anything rationally unless I agree with you.

The Geoff Calkins Show 5/21/15 Hour 2 (w/ Aki Collins)

media.espn929.com/a/105490037/the-geoff-calkins-show-5-21-15-hour-2-w-aki-collins.htm?

Want to hear loyalty and class. Plus a different perspective on Josh than is the general word on the street/

Parrish and Calkins mentioned on Parrish's show that Aki's wife was over at the Pastner's house yesterday. They seem to think that letting an assistant go wasn't Pastner's decision. And Aki, in the interview, wouldn't say from where that decision came. One might have concluded different reading some of the posts - by some - here.

Frankly, I would have loved to keep Aki and see if Kirby could find a new gig. Aki discovered guys like Jimmy Butler and Wesley Matthews. Guys like that are valuable.

I haven't had time to listen to the interview. I'll assume from your usual predictable nothing response, that he didn't say anything bad about Pastner.

We all know that the positive tone of the interview must have been heartbreaking for you. Then again, regardless, you would make the same nothing response.

Some of us know the real story. While some of you just lurk on every post on a message board to feed your agenda. Maybe you and 3 degree guy can compare notes on how much "smarter" you two are over everyone else.

36,000 post guy who parrots the same 3 things over and over...accusing me of lurking on message boards and having an agenda.

So you know the real story? And you don't have an agenda?

I thought the interview was very good. It also seemed to me that he genuinely likes and respects Coach Pastner.

I am glad he is in better health now. He will land another good job.

Yep, he's a good guy. Unless the 'real' story is different from the real story, in which case, maybe not.

Lots of people now the real story. Lots of people respect how Josh, Aki and the University have chosen to handle it. The real story is Aki was not fired on short notice and a group of classy mature men made a decision that was in the best interest of everyone.

But you can play a role in undoing that for the glory of a message board if you want.

As for agendas. I'll defend a man for what I know to be true about him. His ability to do his job does not reflect on his character and life choices. Offer up opinions on his coaching is just that an opinion, but maligning his character until he shows me something different deserves a response.

I have to be honest. The poster that said that Aki needs to defend against the kidney punch sounds much much smarter than you.

Wont argue that one. Although I have to admit I tried a few punches on myself to see if it could make something happen. Last resort that did not work.
