RE: Scott Walker Wisconsin Issues
I would always support Walker as he is one of the few politicians who represents the voters who elected him, and are the taxpayers who pay the state's bills, in dealings with the public sector unions.

For too long, union contracts were negotiated by politicians whose campaigns were funded by union contributions. As such, the negotiations were not held in an adversarial manner nor at arms length. The politicians should be representing the taxpayers and far too often, they weren't.

Frankly, I'd suggest any contract negotiated between a politician backed by a union, and the union, as fraudulent.

Quote:State records say that Gov. Scott Walker received a copy of a 2011 letter pledging a $500,000 taxpayer loan to a now-defunct Milwaukee construction company headed by a Walker donor, seemingly contradicting statements by the governor and his aides that he was not aware of the award.
Records indicate Scott Walker was copied on letter promising loan to donor

Quote:During the 2010 campaign for governor, Scott Walker famously promised to create 250,000 jobs in his first term.

Toward this end, one of his first acts as governor was to privatize the state's economic development agency. Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) opened its doors in July 2011. After a series of damning audits, which highlighted mismanagement and incompetence, and news reports of special treatment for Walker donors, this week Democratic state lawmakers called for a federal investigation of the scandal-plagued entity.

Walker missed his jobs goal by 43 percent. Now we know why.

5 Points On Scott Walker's Big New Wisconsin Mess And Its Impact On 2016

Quote:The mess involves an entity called the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC), a state agency Walker himself established when first elected to fulfill his promise of creating a wave of new jobs. The problems at WEDC have multiplied since. Recently, Walker was forced to give up on a proposal meant to shore up some of the problems at the agency in the face of calls for a federal investigation from Democrats, criticism from a few Republicans, and an audit by the state's nonpartisan Legislative Audit Bureau.

Here's your quick and dirty guide to sorting through the Walker mess:
