Avery Woodson is I guess our best shooter but we will not go very far if that is the case. Hopefully Tarrant can come in and be that guy. Burrell is too inconsistent from game to game but is prob the only guy we have who can create his own shot. We need that kinda guy either a mike miller just spot up catch and shoot kinda guy that we were hoping Barham could be but just never materialized or we need a wing who can consistently get you a shot and get buckets. CDR was the best at that in my time watching the Tigers he could just get you points and create his own shot. It's been since Elliot Williams since we had a guy like that and maybe Tyreke and Will Barton but really Josh doesn't recruit shooters and then every post game whines about not making shots. Well recruit a shooter that when defenses collapse on our bigs or our guards penetrate u got a guy who can knock down an open shot. We can recruit all these four and five star athletes but they can't shoot. We need a shooter and again maybe Tarrant or Broddie will add that this year we will see but at some point u get a guy that has that one skill set and go after him. We need to build a team not just collect a bunch of four and five star recruits. We need role guys. Our best teams were the ones with good role players who were not stars but played a role. One of my favorite players ever is Antonio Anderson was not a great player but was the most important piece to that team because he was the heart and leader of that team. U get two or three great players and then u put complimentary pieces around them. DJ also same way not the best player on the team but arguably the most important we need guys like that so we can be more of a team and develop an identity not just this AAU style we play of one on one no set plays or chemistry u just roll the ball out there and hope we make shots that's what pee wee league teams do. We need to recruit with a purpose and a plan in place not just take guys because they will make us have a top ten class because they are ranked this or that. There are shooters now at no name schools who could make an immediate impact for us so there are guys out there we just load up on similar players and see the same results we can't make shots. Well recruit guys who can make shots even if they are not athletic and have a high vertical or run a 4.4 forty. Just get some shooters please.
