He does nothing of what you describe, and I'm concerned for your ability to function above a grade school level if that's what you got out this video.
He eviscerated the reporter.
He dodged the question by responding with a question. I don't think you've got a good handle on arguments if you think this was a valid response in anyway.

Yea, he responded to a question with a question, the 6th time he was asked by this reporter about gay rights.
Valid response, and the reporter was completely owned and outted as an idealogue.

I believe your idea of a reasonable person and mine are quite different. For instance, I believe a reasonable person to be reasonable, and not an idealogue.

I did not see the earlier questions he asked, so I can't tell whether or not he was truly being an ideologue or if he asked 6 times because Cruz refused to answer the question. I wouldn't consider someone asking Hillary about the emails 6 times to be an ideologue if those 6 answers were all similar to this one, evasive and irrelevant to the question asked.
Sorry, but if you think this response as it exists is compelling, you're an ideologue or you don't know how to answer a question.

The other day Hillary answered 5 questions total for the first time in weeks. So bad analogy.

That has no bearing on my analogy, at all. In fact, post video of her evading a question like this and I'll gladly agree it's just a silly and unconvincing.

Cruz has taken the moderate position on many issues: Marijuana, foreign policy, the NSA, police powers and the Patriot Act to name a few that have been in the news lately. People are going to be shocked when they find out he isn't the right wing lunatic he is painted to be by the media and there are many issues he falls to the left of the media's golden boys Bush and Rubio on that are important to "everyday americans".
And watch the video again. The question... Do you have animosity toward gays... Was answered.

RE: Cruz Throws Gay Rights Gotcha Questions Back At Media:
Yep.
Pretty sure he said "love everyone", so not sure what the problem is here. As well as his being spot on that on the long list of issues that are relevant to being POTUS, this one would rank about, ohhhh 43rd?
What possible impact did zerO being against gay marriage, then for gay marriage, after he was against gay marriage, have on the course of the way the "issue" has moved along?

Funny thing is, Tom's the biggest idealogue on this board regarding gay issues (marriage, et. al). So you slamming Cruz (and applauding Tom) for being an idealogue, is extremely hypocritical on your part.

Attacking the media for asking questions relevant to their candidacy for President is a profitable ploy in a GOP primary.
It isn't a profitable ploy for independents and moderates.
So if Calgary Ted wants to simply be a 'buffoon' candidate playing to extremes, sure - go for it. Actually, it really is what he is.
He'll never be President.
But it is a relevant question for only 2% of the population (although extremely pertinent for you).
Would asking how we are going to find a cure for AIDS be relevant? (Only for 0.5% of the population). How about asking what he would do to help people who are colorblind (4% of the population)? They are clearly discriminated against every time they go to a stop light.

Um, virtually every moment of video that exists of her since announcing. She's evading ALL questions.

^ I love this notion that only gay people care about gay rights...
according to gallup, 60% of Americans approve of gay marriage, so no...it's not just gay folks, it's a majority of Americans...and it's a simple fact, even if you want to cover your ears and pretend it isn't so.
AIDS is a worldwide pandemic...moreover, the majority of AIDS cases are spread by heterosexual sex in sub saharan Africa.
I really don't care about what happens outside America, but you can't look at a worldwide disease from the perspective of political borders. (esp if you wish to any positive effect on finding a cure)
