Louis Banks article from Bill Koch
Good stuff -

"There were a lot of guys that came before me," Banks said, "some of the legends that came to UC. Oscar Robertson's record (2,973 points) will never be broken at UC. It just won't happen. If somebody's good enough, they won't stay that long. I was proud to be one of the top five when I left there. I was proud of the things I accomplished at UC

RE: Louis Banks article from Bill Koch
Great article. I did not realize that the recruiting class was top ten. The article fails to mention Marty Dow as the only eligible recruit. Lou hits the nail on the head about not having enough players. They had an iron five maybe six that would wear down toward the end of the season. They still had great defense, but lost their legs with shooting.
