Arkansas State will receive a school record $1.65 million payout for the meeting with Nebraska, ASU Athletic Director Terry Mohajir said.
The Red Wolves' previous record is $1.3 million for games at Southern California this season and at Auburn in 2016. ASU is set to make $4.25 million in game guarantees over the next three seasons.

Most likely all will be loses, but they'll bring hope some big bucks. I suspect we'll see the same with our basketball program in the coming years. That's okay though. You stand a lot better chance in a basketball game of winning a body bag game than in D-1 football.

You're probably right about that. Also you are less likely to come out of it physically destroyed or injured. Of course, our payment is about 5% of what ASU is getting from that one football game.
