Can a coach keep recruiting all the way to Fall semester, or is there a date when it ends for this season?

I think after Wednesday they can still sign, but are no longer bound by signing. However, it's to the players' advantage because you want to sign early, enroll, and get a head start on school, the offseason program, etc.

That sounds right. I assume Coach Beard will not stop recruiting if he still has spots to fill. I could see him "saving" a scholarship for next season, but the best way to handle that is sign another senior transfer.
