What kind of ranking is that? Is that as a recruiter? As you say, he's never coached a game in D-1, so they couldn't rank him as a D-1 coach yet. Whatever it is, if he goes from 219 to surpass Anderson(whom I don't believe is a great ball coach, but a good recruiter), that means we'll at least make the elite eight this year.

Not sure how much credence I put in this ranking. Besides Anderson at #47 they have John Brady at #52. Maybe the ranking is by how much money they make, not coaching ability. Although if that were the case, Anderson would be top 5.

I don't think much of Anderson's coaching ability, but he is evidently a pretty good recruiter, but I wouldn't put his coaching ability anyhere near #47. That said, remember Houston had a guy named Guy who they say couldn't coach a lick, but he could recruit and win. I personally wouldn't care if Beard was a great coach, but one that could sell iceboxes to Eskimos, and win big.
