Highly unlikely that many will be at their game at 12:30 tomorrow and it won't be near the Troy average of 1,200 per game. I'd expect more USA fans there on Wednesday at 12:30 than Troy fans.

Might not be 1200 + there but I bet money their will be more Trojans than hags in the stands. I already got a group together to haggle the hags

That 1200 Number is off base as well. It does not take into account our Party/Tailgate area in left field where anywhere between 200-1000 fans watch the game

Fox 10 News said that in a 24 hour span Friday evening-Saturday evening some areas received 8-10" of rain. The best draining field can't displace that much rain that fell in that short a time. Let's keep in mind that the only thing at stake for USA in a one game affair was the #1 or #2 seed; we were champions or co-champions either way.

It's funny how people are up in arms about this and it's starting to come out that Troy was the one that declined the late game option that USA proposed. A Troy loss in that game means that they tie with ULL with an 18-11 record and fall to the #3 seed by losing the tiebreaker with ULL. I guess Coach Pierce would rather guarantee the #2 seed and take their chances in the tourney.

That wasn't the case... And there's almost no difference in a 2 or 3seed. There's no risk in it. Fall to a 3 seed and you still play the same teams you would if you were a 2 seed just in another order.

RE: Who you got winning the tournament
They called coach Pierce (he did not meet on the field with them at 3). We did know that there was no way the field could get ready by 8 which is the latest we could start. We certainly knew they weren't going to work hard to get it done. However what they still have not answered to is why we didn't play on Friday at 1. All indications were it was going to rain all weekend starting at 5. Their associate AD absolutely knew it because it was discussed about playing earlier on Friday before we even arrived in Mobile. After we beat them on Thursday there was no discussion of moving the game up on Friday.

Hgolfman didn't say Pierce was there at 3, only that he ultimately agreed it could not be played.
I've talked to some pretty good sources myself and they confirm exactly what Hgolfman said.
And the forecast for Friday and Saturday was not for continuous rain. It was supposed to be scattered but the storm cells stalled out over Mobile.
USA did not dodge Troy.

Was not talking to him. There was a offical statement released by USA athletics stating that Both teams met on the field at 3pm. That never happened according to my source.

The meteorologists said we would have passing, spotty showers Friday. You texted me when you left stating it was raining on your way down and I even told you that we will have spotty showers, but nothing that would affect the game based on what the meteorologist said. You are proposing that USA knew it was going to monsoon that night when that isn't the case.

Here is a screenshot of the text showing rain wasn't expected.

I arrived in Mobile around 4pm Friday and it was mostly sunny. The game could have been moved up to 1pm Friday and I figured they would but it never happened....It started raining just before 5pm on that Friday. Game would likely have ended by then or be in a very late inning.

I left work at 4:30 and it was raining. The amount of rain we received and the duration of the rain was not expected, so why would the game be moved up? Season ticket holders would have been left out, Troy fans would have had a hard time making it there, and we had planned Friday night fireworks. We were fully expecting to be able to play that night. Friday's game was postponed from 6:30 to 7:45 due to lightning. But the rain/storms never let up, which no one expected.

I dont buy that excuse...Games are moved up all the time. I dont care if season ticket holders cant make it...Better than no game at all. Either way they wouldnt see the game.

Who you got winning the tournament
I think his point was that earlier that day no one in Mobile thought heavy, constant rains were coming.

Yup. And the rain we were expecting was supposed to be limited to the afternoon (hence the text saying spotty afternoon showers but nothing that would affect the game).

As I've already stated, I live less than one mile from the stadium and it was raining like hell at 1 PM. I remember because that is usually the time I walk my dog and I had to wait about an hour for a brief pause so I could do so.

Exact words from inside Troy baseball... (Will not reveal my source)

Hgolfman would know what happened and his integrity is impeccable.

It's the Internet, isn't everyone's integrity impeccable?

I'm not a Troy fan because of wins and losses.
