UALR Baseball
Yet another bad season for UALR baseball. We have had a smattering of decent seasons, in the 33 years I have lived in LR, but most have been pretty bad. I seem to always believe that it will turn around when we bring in a new, enthusiastic coach. Felt that way about Rees, Norwood, and now Coach Curry. On the other hand, I have always found myself questioning if UALR can ever have a good baseball program. At this moment, I still believe Coach Curry can be successful. No, we will never be the best baseball team in the Sun Belt, on any regular basis. But, I think we can get to the point where we are a team that can regularly finish 3rd through 6th, make the Sun Belt tourney every year, and have a shot at winning the thing if all goes right. Based on our history, that is probably overly optimistic, but I think Coach Curry can do it if he sticks around for several years.
