Personally I think having a high FCOA is going to help us against P5's. I know that the premise behind FCOA is to the even the playing field but a 3 star type recruit who is looking at riding a bench at a P5 or starting at GS might well look at our higher payout as the tipping point in making a decision.

Maybe , but we can't afford the brown bag payment system of the P5's. Erk said it best: "we don't cheat at Georgia southern, that takes money and we don't have any".

Seriously, I don't think we will be paying the full amount that we are allowed to pay. At least that is the latest rumor. It'll change tomorrow.

We'll see. We do have the highest FCOA, but we'll likely be paying out around the same as everyone else. No way we can afford to pay the full thing.

Originally the figure I heard was 8000 a year but our AD said during the caravan circuit that it was closer to 6000 which it is my understanding we do intend to pay

that is still on the high end. avg belt school I think is a couple grand IIRC?
