OK - after day 1, Kent State is pretty far back - 6th out of 6 for the Men and 4th out of 11 for Women. Acorn is leading both the Men and the Women standings. So it looks like they'll get these Wagon Wheel points.

One good note, Matthias Tayala has set a new MAC record for hammer throw at 71.20 meters. Second place went to Cole Walderzak with 64.62 meters, so that's a pretty big margin of victory.

So if there's a Buffalo fan talking up how the Bulls won the MAC Championship in Basketball, we can counter and say 'oh yeah, well we got the MAC championship in Hammer Throw!'

KSU: 2015 MAC Men's Basketball (co-)Champions. UB is also the MAC tourney champ. But a championship is a championship, even a 3-way co-championship.

I respectfully disagree with you - in my mind, there can only be one champion per season/sport/conference/event/etc. If you can't resolve the competition to one champion, then there is no champion. In my mind, 'co-champion' still means 'not champion'

It's not really an opinion. It's a simple fact. You can not like it, I guess, but it doesn't change the fact. The MAC determines who are champions, co-champions, or any other placing. My opinion is that I'd rather be co-champ than 2nd place.

If we lose the Wagon Wheel for the first time ever, it's on track and field. To have six points available and lose five of them is a joke.

If you are including cross country as track we have actually lost all six. The women still have an outside chance tomorrow but they will probably finish behind Akron also.

I stand corrected. The women's cross country team won their point.
