Based on more than two years of interactions with, and observing the CUSAbbs here is my ranking of the CUSA fan bases who seem to get under my skin most often. I realize that these are just my opinions, and that a few posters on a given conference, or team message board do not necessarily present a fair picture of the entire fan base. Also, without calling any posters out by screen name, some teams seem to have a couple or several who are more active, and more irritating than most. Here goes...

1. LT
2. WKU
3. UTEP
4. Marshall
5. USM
6. ODU
7. MT
8. Charlotte
9. UAB

10. UTSA
11. UNT
12. Rice
13. FAU
14. FIU

Good list. Can't argue with your rankings.

Charlotte and Marshall seem like the best fan bases I've encountered so far. They are loyal and supportive and while they are homers, so are we.

WKU is pretty bad, UTEP fans and LT fans are by far the worst.

Keep living in the past 500 years ago when you were relevant. No one cares anymore.

You guys are letting a few message board Cowboys sway your opinion of a school's fan base. The Marshall fans were the earliest supporters of ODU joining CUSA, we'll for the most part.

As I said in the op, my rankings are based solely on message board interactions. Non of this is indicative of these school's fan bases at large, or individual fans. I created my list for fun, and to vent a little.

This won't end well. I don't like to throw all fans on message boards into the same pot. Was HerdFever annoying, uneducated and repetitive? Yes, but that doesn't say anything for Marshall and its fans. The same goes for the worst of the worst from other fanbases. They typically aren't representative of the entire group.

Approaching this from the other end of the spectrum, I have found the fans from Rice to be the most coridal and well informed -- a real class act all around.

They all suck, because they aren't ODU fans.

Having said that, they are a step above VCU fans as long as they take a shower once a month.

Rice fans are top-notch in the real world, classy folks all around. I feel like most people on CUSAbbs are decent people in real life. Just don't talk religion, politics, or sports with them.

It begins and ends with UAB. Maybe that's just left over from the Sun Belt days but their incessant chants about firing their President during the tournament (I was there.) just brought back those old memories.

I HATE VCU!

Its so hard to care about any of their problems or whines save Charlotte and Marshall (that one is probably a stretch)...its oddly reminiscent of when the Atlantic East teams joined the CAA (save of course we are the newcomers); building any interest about Towson, NE, Hofstra and Drexel was tough, Delaware was so delusional and cathartic they were fun to read as they unraveled. Any time one of the Texas schools fans writes a post, I tend to skip automatically. Thank goodness there is no one alive that cares about the F_U schools or that would be two more to endure. I actually miss the goofs from Georgia State and their rants; the dysfunction of Birmingham or the cash flow problems of Louisiana just don't interest me. Give some old fashioned JMU/VCU/GMU hate any day.

Except for head-to-head contests with ODU, I wish only the very best for every other CUSA school.

By comparison, I wish only the very worst for the VCU base. A plague of bedbugs infesting their new practice facility is too good for them.

Except for that one LT fan and that random Temple guy CUSA fans are a huge step above most of the CAA message board fans. Remember we were subjected to the worst of the worst, VCU and to a lesser extent GMU. CUSA rival fandom is a walk in the park compared to that!

P8? Masonfan? If it weren't for those two I would have felt sorry fot Mason during Paulball II.
