Due to potential rain Saturday, game 3 vs MTSU has been moved to tomorrow. Doubleheader starts at 2 pmCT with the 3rd game starting 45 mins after the conclusion of the first game. Our RPI is 57. If we manage to sweep MTSU we''ll tie our school record of 13 in a row. Gotta play it game by game though. I'll be happy if we get one of two tomorrow. TTT!

I think you need both games today to clinch a spot in the top 3 seeds- which means you'd "get to" avoid Rice until the final.
However the way we've played the last couple games - I'm just hoping we "get to" avoid a smoking hot USM until the final.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the pitching today. McMahon started on Sunday so he'd be pitching on four days rest. There was some speculation he might be held out, depending on the outcome of the first two games, since we didn't name a Saturday starter.

I knew that we had been limiting McMahon's pitch count but it never dawned on me that today would be 4 day's rest. I don't see any scenario that he pitches very long if at all today. It's already been posted that he's pitched more innings this year than previous years combined. IF he pitches at all today I imagine he would be on pitch count max of 50 which would likely be 3 or 4 innings at most.

He pitched on 4 days rest when he beat Rice.
