I'll take football over basketball any day of the week. And good baseball vs no baseball.

Fsu won the acc tourney in 2012 too. Cuse will probably never win an acc football title

But Syracuse won a share of the BE title its last year in the BE. And I doubt FSU ever wins another Acc bb title. Its not a 2 team league at the top anymore. And if you want to throw in a niche sport like baseball, I would rather have lacrosse than no lacrosse, and baseball for that matter

Is that the Clemson fan talking smack about basketball that he has said many times doesn't matter and he doesn't care about?

Lol lacrosse. The track programs and women's soccer programs are better comparisons for that. All great at fsu

I'd bet on fsu winning a bball title before I'd bet on Syracuse winning a football title

It doesn't matter.

Except to you sensitive Syracuse fans.

We can continue the smack here on the smack board. You wanna talk sensitive? How about you busting a gasket over the fact that Petrino had the nerve to compare the loudness of Clemson stadium to the Dome? 03-lmfao

Oh, I get it. You just want to compare the sports that FSU is good at while dismissing the sports that Syracuse is good at, like womens bb, cross country, softball lacrosse etc.... Got it. At least lacrosse is a revenue sport at schools like SU and gets better average attendance than baseball.
would call the chances even.

I didn't bust a gasket.

But one has to wonder how he could compare the two when at the point he made the comparison he had never set foot in Death Valley. I'd be willing to bet if he would answer truthfully he'd say that this:

Was about as loud as he has ever seen.

The only thing that matters at this point is he's undefeated in the "Loud House" and he's winless in Death Valley. Evidently he finds the dome as intimidating as we do.

No lacrosse is just a lot more comparable to soccer and track. Baseball is a lot more relevant in this country.

In the northeast, lacrosse is much bigger than baseball, and its not even close. But I agree that baseball currently has a larger national tv audiance, as its world series tv ratings doubles the Lacrosse Final Four. But that wont last too long as lacrosse is growing much faster than baseball and has almost a double digit growth rate on baseball tv ratings per year. Also lacrosse championships F4 has a larger average attendance than baseball WS.

Not sure what you're talking about when you say lacrosse is bigger in the northeast than baseball. There is a professional lacrosse league in the northeast where most teams struggle to be solvent, and the players still need to have daytime jobs. Compare that with the Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies etc... where the players make millions and millions come to see them play each year. I'm sure any poll would show baseball is still far more popular in every section of the country than lacrosse. I wish there were more northern schools better at baseball, there's nothing more fun than going down south and shutting up the loudmouths down there, like UCONN did to Clemson in the Clemson regional a few years back.

We are talking about college lzcrosse as opposed to college baseball. Not professional.

It's probably because NE baseball blows. Hard to get support when you guys arent relevant there and some of the schools dont even have baseball teams....

Lacrosse is not going to beat out baseball in the long run. It's going to be a NE dominated sport for the long run.

Since summer is out of the equation, college baseball should be a two semester sport, imho.

Play the out-of-conference games in September and October with a Friday/Sunday type schedule.

Then play the conference games in April and May, with the championships still in June.

Cheers,
Neil
