It's really pouring in Katy. I can't tell from the HRS Cam whether the campus is getting any of this weather.

Anyone near enough to the hedges able to report on current conditions ?

It is not raining yet/barely drizzling. Reporting from Greenway plaza looking over at Rice.

Weather.com's "future" animation shows most (but not all) of the worst rain just barely missing Rice to the west and north, with it all dissipating after about 6 p.m. Of course a tiny discrepancy could make a BIG difference at any specific location, such as Reckling.

I hope it all works out well tonight ... especially with a big-offense, shutdown-pitching and tight-defense Owl victory.

Very dark, threatening skies over the campus, but no significant rain. Yet. Sound of thunder. Lightening to the west, northwest. As Mike writes, it all depends on where these thunderstorms track. I hope the infield is already covered.

Impossible to confirm, but I would swear that I just saw a lightning flash in the background (north/northwest) of the HRS construction cam...

At 3:30 PM there is a very DARK cloud moving over West University Place. No precipitation, but threatening. I can just make out the face of Keith Law in the cloud.
UPDATE: at 3:30 it's raining at Reckling Park.
UPDATE: at 3:40 the rain has stopped.

I can hear the rain pouring from my office in the medical center.

The good news first: the rain appears to have stopped. The bad: we will all die from the mugginess.

At 4:15 the weather is a little less threatening. No precipitation at Reckling Park, but I continue to hear thunder.
At 5:00 light rain is falling.

As I turn on my car to drive to the game from the office, "Evil Woman" is blaring from the radio. A good omen indeed.

I'm at the park and we are already in a lightning delay. They won't let us go to our seats yet. It's not raining but occasionally I hear thunder.

A passel o kids are being boisterous under the stands. Some are actually well behaved but they are clearly having a ball with minimal adult supervision. Meanwhile the rest of us are yearning for a sit down. FIU's #10 is standing right in front of me here by the concession stand. He doesn't seem to be in any hurry to get to the field.
