HD is only a small part. scheduling is the bigger factor in my opinion (with no substance behind that opinion).

It's been discussed here many times. People not liking the game scheduling as the schools/conferences are more interested in the TV dollars and times than the game attendance. I'm one that hates it too. I'm selfish. I'd rather have better game times for tailgating and attendance than mid-week games and odd-time games which makes the game-day experience suffer.

Not saying it's going to change, but don't put out quotes in articles saying you're doing tons of things to build game attendance and the game-day experience when you constantly shift game times for TV, don't set game times for fan planning due to TV, and schedule odd-day games simply for TV.

College football has always been a regional sport, and these cross country conferences, along with the continued alienation of the "non-power 5" schools are chipping away at the number of dedicated fans willing to go to games.
