As expect, NIU & MAC overall are pathetic.

I expect a pretty decent turnaround for attendance next year, in STF we trust

As mentioned on here, there was some bad luck regarding weather last year:

6 PM Thursday Aug 28 vs. Presbyterian – .19 inches of rain, 78/64, Wind (Avg/Max) 5/16
4 PM Saturday Oct 4 vs. Kent St. – .01 inches of rain/snow, 45/32, Wind 14/31
4 PM Saturday Oct 11 vs. CMU – 57/32, Wind 3/8
4 PM Saturday Oct 18 vs. Miami – 47/32, Wind 7/20
7 PM Tuesday Nov. 11 vs. Toledo - .1 inches of rain, 53/27, Wind 13/28

Its bad weather for most of our games.

I wish they would have more indoor club seats in the new East premium structure.

The schedule and weather both sucked. It's still embarrassing, though.

Build a kick ass dome call it the dog house and attendance goes up, we are not the Bears. Make it a loud, nasty environment for visiting teams. Just a thought.

That's bad weather? May not be great, but if it's not raining or snowing and above freezing it isn't "bad" for DeKalb in the Fall.

In hindsight, team records/positions aside,it would have been interesting to see what a 40k dome would have cost in comparison to the Convo + proposed renovations cost of HS, then figure in what additional events it could have held, more attendance produced.

That is an interesting idea. I really do believe the weather and timing of the games worked against us last year. Hard for alumni to attend a late season week night game especially with the thought of freezing your ass off during the game (or watching it on ESPN in the warmth of your living room with a cold beer).

Hopefully we can do more Saturday Noon games and attendance will go up.

I attend as many of the Saturday games as I can - but the week nights are tough (I know - old argument)

Convo cost 36mil in 2002...Akron's 30k outdoor stadium cost 60mil in 2009

Then people will complain that's it's too nice out to be in a dome.....

Yeah, but most of us could not afford those seats.

For sure, I would contribute to this before any renovations.

Well, I certainly never would. I prefer being indoors no matter what the weather. One of the reasons I much prefer attending basketball than football games. I am always comfortable at basketball games.

Any idea why so many of our Saturday games start at 4:00. Better attendance might come with a 1 or 2 o'clock start time.

They're doing it to get better attendance. Has not worked too well. Personally, I would prefer the 1 or 2 pm start. With the 4 pm start and the game ending around 7 pm, I usually skip dinner and just head home after the game.

Could not agree more. I would love 1 or 2pm starts.

How would a 1 pm draw better attendance than a 4 pm game, exactly?
