Does anyone know if you can use radio apps (IHeart etc.) to get Memphis baseball games? Tulane blocks games streamed via apps and I will be traveling outside of NOLA. TY

I doubt it since we can't do it on WREC.

I-heart radio does not have the Tiger game broadcasts. I was driving to Chattanooga on Halloween night, and downloaded the I-Heart radio app so I could listen to the Tulsa football game on the drive. When I tuned into AM600, I got the Dave Ramsay show. It turns out the university only broadcasts the games locally, but they do not allow their broadcasts on the internet feeds.

Can't get football or basketball, for sure. If you don't live within 92.9's signal, or after dark/within a mile of a power line can't make the WREC am signal work.

This has looong been one of my complaints. You can live in Shelby County, and after dark, can't listen to a Tiger broadcast on 600.
Local residents, like out of towners, can not stream a game.
Great way to treat your fans.
So buy GTG-right? Okay. I bought. Doenst work 1/3 of the time, and 100% of the time-u still can't listen to pre and postgame. What good is it?
VERY shabby way to treat fans and HORRIBLE way to grow your fan base.

Sign-up at CollegeSportsLive or use your existing GTG account login at the site.
Much better than the hassle at GTG site and you can listen/watch many Tiger FB, BKB, BB games as well as most other teams in their network.
Find Apps for iOS and Android here: APPS

I contacted the league office back during basketball season to find out if "we" are ever going to be broadcast on Sirius/XM. A got a response that said they were working on it. That would be nice for a lot of scenarios.

The university is also missing the boat by not having a weekly year-round radio show dedicated to all things UofM (academics, sports, development, etc.).

yes and we need a stronger signal for AM 600. 600 am should reach out to all of Shelby County and surrounding area. It pisses me off driving home listening to the post game radio broadcast and I lose the signal once I get into Arlington.

I find this website valuable with predicting whether you will get a station or not. They have a night time and day time signal chart.
http://radio-locator.com/info/WREC-AM
Also, it will give you a website to click on..and maybe, just maybe a way to hear a game.

I hope they can close that deal. I would sign up again if they did.

Yeah.... "... while we take a break on the "Tiger..... radio.... network."
What network? A network implies more than one station.

600 doesn't need a stronger signal, we need to sign a contract with the strongest signal radio station in the city.

We had a very strong radio station once for a few years back in the 80's when we were with KIX 106 FM, but as I recall, they decided that they no longer wanted to broadcast Tiger games. I like AM 600 - they are good people and treat us well, but the sometimes weak signal is indeed a problem which needs to be overcome either by adding affiliates or other means.
PS - when Miss State plays baseball, their games are carried by so many stations that you can pick them up practically anywhere in the state.
