When you had support for a new OCS but told no from your BOT let me know. When you've tried to donate money to UCF Football and your President wouldn't accept it you let me know.

That is pretty bad. Serious question, given these events how do these people still have jobs? UCF has been able to flourish basically under the vision of president Hitt.

Because the UABOT are filthy rich has politicians in their pockets. Even the system's chancellor said only a few UAB people were dissatisfied with the UABOT oversight over the three campuses. Talk about being pompous and not giving a damn about the concerns raised by UAB boosters, students, and supporters.

It's the good ole boys network at their finest and until recently, no one had the nerves to call them out.

If bringing back UAB Football accomplishes nothing else other than pissing off the BOT and the Bama idiots that run it, then I am all for bringing back UAB Football 04-cheers

On a serious note during ECU's Bowl game with Florida I actually spent time wandering around Birmingham and for the first time the UAB campus. The UAB campus is very nice and if they could figure out a way to get an OCS that was on a Tulane type scale I think they would have an opportunity to finally grow. Better to have 20k fans in a 30k seat stadium and eventually having the problem of not having enough seats with 30k, than to play in a empty old dump like Legion Field. I can't think of too many programs that could grow in an environment like Legion.

That was the plan in 2011. The OCS was going to go almost right next to Region's Field and have 27.5k seats and expansion available.

Right now we have right around 15 million in donations pledged to return football and another large announcement coming in the 10-20 million range supposedly. It still looks like Watts is not going to reinstate the programs regardless of money raised. I can't fathom a university turning down 25+ million dollars in donations. It's ridiculous.
