If GS was winning the Bubas Cup I'm sure there would be GS fans who cared and pointed it out.

No doubt we would. We're a proud and even boastful bunch. And we would sound just as silly as anyone who has ever bragged about winning the Bubas Cup.

Maybe, but we will never be in contention. It means nothing outside (or inside) the conference.

A Troy fan saying Ga Southern is "dragging the conference down"... I don't even know how to respond.

But we arnt the ones stating we need to replace our baseball coach either.

There's a couple other coaches that need a look at before your baseball coach. We might not be high up in the bubas cup standing but we are ahead of southern.

We have done our fair share of replacing coaches.

We knew our softball team wasn't going to be good this year. We have replaced our women's basketball coach two months ago.

To say that our women's sports is bringing the conference down is asinine. I also assure you that no one at Southern gives a rats ass about the Bubas Cup or ever will.

Yup.

OOC has been a disaster. We're not even in the top half of the state.

It was the mid week games that did us in. On the weekends we looked like the 29 Yankees.

03-lmfao The '29 Yankees? DE LUUUUU SIONAL . . . .

None of this has anything to do with baseball. I'm glad you are evidently a fan of Rodney Hennon but I'm not sure why you are defending our program? It has been an extremely disappointing season.

UALR is holding their #1 starter back until Saturday against us. Don't see that very often the last weekend, but they also know they need 2 wins to make the tourney, and we have no Game 3 starter...

It's been a down year for the whole SBC. But your sitting in 3rd. There's other GSU programs that are doing worse.

FWIW to some degree I agree with you. Depends what your expectations were I think going into the season. We knew pitching was a question mark and sure enough we are slightly worse than last season. I think we are short one capable weekday starter.

Against the same OOC opponents (UGA, GT, North Florida, Clem, Jacksonville, KSU, and CoC) we were 8-7 last season and 7-9 this season. NOT that much of a difference.

The OTHER 4 OOC opponents in 2014 - Maryland Eastern Shore, Ohio, SIUe, Holy Cross = 261 avg RPI. (11-1 against them)

The other 4 OOC opponents in 2015 - Bethune Cookman, WVU, Citadel, Mercer = 166 avg RPI. (5-4 against them)

So we are pretty darn close to the same team we were last year we just dropped a few more OOC games to opponents who blow the other teams we faced last season out of the water.

Still waiting for the disney story ending to the season you're supposed to have when something terrible happens (Harrington's situation).

I felt the same way last year. I don't know if I've ever seen a Jag team struggle like that. Some people blame it on the injuries but I'm not sure they were any better than the guys on the field. There has certainly been an improvement this year towards the end of the season, but there are still a lot of areas to improve on. If someone would have told me that we'd be playing for the conference championship with our offensive stats I'd have thought they were nuts.

Panthers take first one in Atlanta over GS, 6-2, David Levy breaks it open in 6th inning with bases loaded triple to score final three runs of game.

We just seem headed in the wrong direction. We are 2-8 in our last 10 games---not what you want about to head into the tournament.

For the Cajuns to take the #2 seed in the tournament, they need to win the next 2 games to sweep ULM and USA needs to win 2 against Troy. It helped that Georgia St beat Georgia Southern.

The Cajuns move into 3rd place
