When that happens the AAC will officially be CUSA2 and CUSA will be SBC2. Meaning once the dust settles the only thing that has changed is the conference name over the same group of schools.

I don't want in CUSA, I want in the AAC.02-13-banana

We all want in AAC, but right now cusa is the logical stepping stone. AAC is obviously not going to take anyone from the SBC. I think southern miss, rice, old dominion, and utsa could all be potential AAC targets in the future.

I remain unconvinced, but more hopeful than I've been in the past. I think June 1 will be interesting.

If UAB manages to save football, they need to name something significant after Coach Clark. Because his last season saved the football program. If UAB had finished 3-9 with an average attendance of 15k last year....they'd be gone, gone, gone.

There is so much truth in this statement.

Except for the part of an average attendance of 15K. I've seen the photos of some of those games. They were lucky to break 10K.

Whatever they really got, it was significantly higher than it was the previous year.
