I sincerely believe - with sustained success and solid marketing - we can average 40k per season.

5,300 increase...it is realistic to have a similar increase again this season...would move it up to around 38 or 39K average. And not solely based on the Mispisiisiii pink pants bringing a few extra fans.

I agree. If they can more or less sustain a bowl-caliber team and jazz up the home schedule a bit, I think Memphis can get 40-45K per game.

That said, I think they'll go right back to their old ways when Fuente moves on in a year or two.

Well it's not always 'build it and they will come' but in this instance I figured that happened --- A@M averaged over 105K. #2 in the nation.

Nice achievement, but we need much higher attendance. I'm sure the Ole Miss game will help the average substantially this season.

Anyone know how many season tickets have been sold so far with this "deadline" they've instituted to renew?

It would take a heck of a home schedule to average 45k. Just the way it is

If he were to stay another year he may leave us with a strong enough foundation where one more good coaching hire could sustain this thing for a while. I am just glad we have him this season. Anything after this season is gravy.

But if you can follow up his hire with another good hire (if not a home run, maybe a stand up double) then the program may get to a point where it becomes an attractive job to good young coaches.

02-13-banana What was A&M average before getting in the SEC? I am sure that had a lot to do with their increase. It would do the same for us if we were invited into the SEC

Bad weather in 2 games and playing Halloween night also competing with friday night football hurt attendance last year.

behind only ECU and UCF in the AAC. Slightly ahead of Navy's numbers last year as well.

Unless it all falls apart at the beginning I see Memphis around 40K this year. Last season sort of snuck up on most of those who come mostly when we win --- this year should be different.

With Ole Miss included on the schedule, I think that's a fair estimate. Possibly a little bit higher.
