Hill (South Alabama)
Challenger (Ga. Southern)
Thurber (App. St.)
Bennett (Troy)

The hitters are harder to identify but I think my top 4 right now would be:
Rose (Ga. State)
Trosclair (Louisiana)
Rasch (ULM)
Mizell (Ga. Southern)

I am sure some of you have different lists, who would be your top 4 in each category?

I might add Blake Trahan and Zach George, but it's hard to only pick 4. We have some really good hitters in the belt. I would have chosen the same 4 pitchers.

Zach George won't get hitter of the year because we're not having a good year, and he's not a power hitter. but a .400 average and a nearly .550 On base percentage with an on base streak that dates back to 2012 is nothing to sneeze at.

Depending what MLB thinks of those numbers, we may or may not have him back next year...

Kevin Hill should just be awarded with Pitcher of the Year now to save everyone time.

Mark skinner is the top closing pitcher in this conference.

He did come in as pitcher in the 5th inning with GSU.

Ben Taylor has pitched about the same number of innings, but has an ERA of around .83. He has given up 3 ER in 32.2 innings pitched. He is usually money when he comes in. We also have Shane McKinley who has a .56 with 16 innings pitched and 1 ER.

If it's top 4 hitter, Trahan is worthy of discussion. If it's top 4 player, like the thread title states, then Trahan is a no-doubter like Hill is for pitcher. Hitting stats are similar to last year, stealing bases at a better percentage, and fielding at a better percentage as well. This is with less talent around him. The draft will bear this out when Blake will most likely get taken in the first two rounds.

I have to say kudo's to Blake Trahan with the Cajuns, who probably won't be POY, but will probably be taken in the top 45 of this year draft.

Maybe last year ... His ERA is closing in on 5.00 this year.
