Sounds like a good landing spot for a 5-7 SEC team.

I would love that bowl, especially if it had a cruise involved.

I am sick and tired of the same people owning everything. We aren't running a car lot. There was no need to flip the HOD and now the Bahamas Bowl.

Build a cruise that leaves and returns to the same US port and the travelers do not have to have a passport. Seems like a natural deal.

Just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas...Only thing you need to get off the boat and back on is a DL...

Can you imagine the fans from the two teams on the same boat? Could be fun. Might need some security though.

I think it's good that we sold it, CUSA doesn't need to be in the business of producing/orchestrating a bowl event. Just show up with our team, participate, take the check, and leave. 02-13-banana

Perhaps part of a deal that gets us back to ESPN with new TV deal?

IF the sales agreement includes a stipulation that CUSA won't be dropped as a participant and the game now shows up on a major ESPN channel, it's a good deal.

That's an interesting thought. I always felt like CUSA leveraged the option to sell the Heart of Dallas Bowl to ESPN as a chip to get more/better bowl slots from the ESPN line up of Bowls. I wouldn't be surprised if Banowsky is doing the same thing with the Bahamas Bowl. CUSA bought it less than a year ago. The move to sell it already doesn't make a lot of sense unless ESPN is a part of the new CUSA TV deal.
