Ryan Nuss who most likely would have been our starting kicker, is transferring to WKU. Pretty big blow. He had a strong leg.

we've had similar issues.

I think this is because the first year signings aren't bound by the same rules, and you can transfer without sitting out. This class won't be able to do that unless they drop divisions.

Does anyone know why they are leaving? Is is projected playing time or something else?

Our highest rated recruit from the first class is transferring. He was splitting time with the first team before that happened. Also lost a scholarship running back and corner due to violation of team rules.
When you are low on scholies each loss hurts.

It's certainly disappointing but like I said after the spring game, he's a better fit elsewhere. My guess is wherever he lands bulks him up to MLB or puts him at safety and he becomes a stud.

I think our top rated player is still on the roster. The Pyke kid came in as an ESPN and 24/7 3 star. He played in the US Army All American Bowl in San Antonio TX as an 8th grader and balled out at the 2 biggest Rivals camps. Every SEC team came to see him at school except TX AM but his height just didnt fit their molds. They just moved him to center recently so all hope is not lost. I think we will be fine in the middle of the OL:

Should be fun to watch the freshman get on campus and fall camps get underway. Should be Interesting to compare the different strategies of two programs on such similar paths.

what type of offense/defense will you be running?

Looks like offense is going to be the hurry up / spread option that a lot if teams are running now. I'm not a defensive guru, so I'll leave that to someone else. What about KSU?

KSU will be running the triple option of offense. Paul Johnson assistant is our head coach.. installation has been a chore. So many high schools now running spread offenses it's quite a change.

defensively we will be running a 4-2-5. I've liked the look here thus far. I do have some concerns with them practicing against our one dimensional offense though.

One things for sure.. our scout teams will struggle to imitate the opposing offense week 1.
