US title match : Nikita Koloff vs Magnum TA

This is about one month before Magnums career ending car accident. He had just lost the US title to the Russian Nightmare in a best of 7 series at the Great American Bash that summer. Flair and Dusty now say that Magnum was booked to beat Flair for the world title early in 1987 and have a long run with the belt. This legendary feud was likely a warm up for the title vs title feud between Magnum and Nikita in late '87 or early '88.
