Arkansas-Little Rock transfer James White has a list of finalists: Alabama, BC (took visit), Georgia, Georgia tech, Oklahoma State
I guess if he is visiting Boston College, being closer to home was not a major factor. Unless he just wanted to see Boston. I do think he will end up at one of the Georgia schools.

If he goes to BC, he won't have a long move to go to Harvard law.

I'll be honest, I don't think the kid is good enough to play high major ball so this will be interesting.

I don't think he'll be getting the minutes he would have gotten at UALR. But maybe he'll prove us wrong.

He'd have to show a lot of improvement over what we saw here to get much time at any of those places.

He has gotten a ton of high major interest. I assume, at least, some of those coaches know what they are doing. I know my son, who watched basketball for 4 years at Kansas, was pretty darn impressed with James.

As it has been explained to me, it is actually a no risk deal for the big programs if they have a scholarship available which allows them to take a chance. If he produces for them they come up roses. If not, he's gone in a year and it doesn't really disrupt their recruiting schedule.
Hopefully the NCAA will adopt what they are considering- making these guys sit out a year like all other transfers. It usually takes a couple of years to get a graduate degree anyway (if that is really the reason they are transferring), and it would quit the free of charge poaching that big programs are enjoying on players that smaller programs have developed.

I think he can do well at a high major. The fact of the matter is he didn't have good coaching here. I'd love to see what a real talent developer could do with him. I just wish it was here.

As you all know, I'm big on White. The kid was never utilized properly. With his weight up now I think he will do well at a high major. When he was a slender kid in high school I saw him battle with some players that are playing their current college ball at high majors. One being Tony Parker at UCLA.

Excellent point. My wife said tonight "You can't get a master's degree in one year". If that was really why any of these kids were transferring, sitting out one year would work out perfectly for them. Is anyone at the NCAA office really going to check and make sure that James enters a graduate program, at his new school, that UALR doesn't have?
