Sun Belt baseball standings after 5/9
Coming down the stretch now in the Belt for baseball this year:
Right now here are the standings:
1. South Alabama 19-7
2. Troy 16-10
3. Ga. Southern 16-11
4. Ga. State 14-10
5. Louisiana 14-11
6. Texas-Arlington 13-14
7. Texas St. 12-14
8. UALR 11-14
9. ULM 11-15
10. Ark. St. 9-16
11. App. St. 8-21
Games left:
Sunday, May 10:
ULM at UALR
Ark. St. at Texas St.
South Alabama at Louisiana
Ga. State at Troy
Last weekend 5/14-16:
Ga. Southern at Ga. State
Troy at South Alabama
Louisiana at ULM
UTA at Texas St.
UALR at Ark. St.
I think all the teams except App. St. are still in the running to make tourney. I think USA, Troy, GS, Ga. State, and Louisiana have clinched spots in the tourney at this point.

Over the last 2-3 weeks I would say South Alabama and Troy are the 2 Belt teams that are trending upward the most.

Looks like our trip through the top of the standings may have us landing around the middle of the standings. Hopefully we finish strong.

What a tough year for us Bobcats, I guess Harrington's absence was felt a little more than I thought.

We're playing to see if we can drop out of the tournament all together. What a goal to set for yourselves.
Seriously, Fikac isn't ready to run a DI program. I don't think we used the same line-up 2 games in a row all season. I used to keep a score book and stats (for myself) for the team and could pencil in the starting line-up without thinking about it, Now? I wouldn't even begin to guess.

Not yet. You'd need to lose twice to UTA at home to be done for.

It's been a baseball conference... But 2015 has been a down year in sbc history.

RE: Sun Belt baseball standings after 5/9
Lot on the Line next weekend in some critical SBC Series:
USA is one win from clinching the title, but must beat 2nd place Troy at home to do it.
Struggling Cajuns head to Monroe to face surging Warhawks, with ULM still needing a win or two to clinch a tournament berth. Cajuns meanwhile know they could potentially finish 2nd in the league with a sweep, and its ULM...so yeah.
Texas State suddenly finds its tournament life on the line hosting Texas Arlington, who ironically enough, is not in the tournament either. There is a legit scenario in which the Loser of this series is out of the tourney altogether.
Suddenly surging Hot Arkansas State has managed to bring its tourney hopes down the last weekend and hosts struggling rival UALR in a series in which the loser is out of the tournament. Red Wolves need help, but have all sorts of scenarios in play if they sweep. Trojans know they are in with a sweep. Expect a crazy few games with AState managing it's pitching staff like its a tourney elimination game.
Side notes:
1. There is only one scenario in which both AState and UALR make the tourney. it Involves massive sucktitude out of Texas State and ULM. That said, there are also only a couple scenarios in which both are eliminated, putting a ton of pressure on ULM and Texas State this weekend.
2. Troy can technically win the title with 2 wins and a rain out Saturday. Watch the weather forecast show 100 percent chance of rain Saturday and the two teams arguing about a Friday DH.
3. UTA, ULM, and AState might be the hottest teams in the league right now, and there is potential two of them could still get left out of Troy.
4. AState picked the worst time to host a midweek game with Ole Miss Tuesday. I could see a cloudless rain out as our coach has already admitted he "has no idea how he's going to manage that game" with basically no pitchers available and most position players needing rest.

Big seeding placement on the line for Troy from what I can tell.
We could finish as high as a 1 seed or as low as a 4 seed by just this one series with USA it looks like.

You've got UALR and ULM wrong. ULM is in 8th at 12-15 UALR in 9th at 11-15
I pulled it from the sbc web page. Guess it's not updated fully
Fixed none the less

TXST has never had a losing conference record since Harrington became coach. This so sucks. Then again, he wasn't really there but I guess it goes on his record.
