2015 Bowl Ties?
Does anyone actually know what our bowl ties are for this season? There is so much horse trading every season, I have no idea what ties we legitimately have. I know we have the Heart of Dallas Bowl, but outside of that one, I'm not sure. Does anyone know our line-up, and the opponents?

ESPN lists these. Could still be more wheeling and dealing:
Arizona (pending final contract) v MWC
New Mexico v MWC
Miami Beach v AAC
Bahamas v MAC
Heart of Dallas v Big 12 (B1G backup)
St. Petersburg v AAC

Backup in New Orleans and Shreveport

Thanks for the help.

After seeing the line-up, I think I'd rather C-USA sign with the Austin Bowl if we were matched against the AAC. We are already playing a bowl with the MWC in their footprint, and the MWC doesn't even have a team in Arizona. Of course if we could add both games that would be okay too. From what I've read, the Austin Bowl has not signed conferences yet.

I've heard that soon the Waste Management Garbage Bowl will be approved soon at a landfill somewhere in Brazoria County. I don't know, but I'm sure there will some posters here that are very happy about it.

If there is going to be a Garbage Bowl it should be in Pasadena.

Do you have a preference between Austin and Arizona?

Enough is enough UTSA I want to go bowling. I'll take anyone of those damn bowls but St. Pete is at the top of my list.

Some folks don't like the multiple bowls vs the AAC, because they are perceived as an inferior football conference to C-USA.
But I happen to like it. AAC is not deep but they are solid in their top half and likely to send some pretty decent teams to their bowls most years.

New Orleans bowl is a definite for this year. It is one that alternates non-SBC teams with AAC, MWC and C-USA. Maybe MAC there too sometimes. But we have it this year.

Neither really, but if I had to chose one, Austin of course.

Do you know which conference we will be playing in the NO Bowl?

Too many variables. In general, I prefer a post-Christmas date to one before Christmas (which tends to be when we have family Holiday gatherings). No matter how much I want to follow the Owls on the weekend before Christmas, it just won't happen.

Then it is about the opponent. P5 is the best, followed by the MWC and AAC. If we're down to the MAC and SBC, it better be a good, local opponent like ULL.

Since I understand Tucson will be post-Christmas, I tend to prefer that bowl to Austin, if either happens this year.

Sunbelt, ULL has played in the NO Bowl last three or four years.
