If the Atlantic Sun falls apart, it's the Florida schools that might have the hardest time finding a home. If UAB doesn't move, though, could the Sun Belt add another non-football member? Lipscomb gets them in the Nashville market, Jacksonville (FL) actually used to be a member of the conference, and USC Upstate could be a travel partner for Appalachian State. There would be no real reason to do that, though, unless if the Sun Belt just isn't going to 12 in football, or if UMass will indeed be the 12th member.
The Atlantic Sun may also be able to raid the MEAC. It could add five football playing schools to get to six, and still leave the MEAC as a compliant FCS conference (6 football, 8 overall) as well as keeping Big South football alive (the same six members it had during the 2014 season).
Atlantic Sun Football:
Kennesaw State, SC State, Howard, Delaware State, Hampton, Norfolk State
Big South Football:
Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, Charleston Southern, Monmouth (affiliate)
MEAC Football:
Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Savannah State, NC A&T, NC Central, Morgan State
The Atlantic Sun could even send Kennesaw State to the Big South in exchange for Monmouth football if it wanted to add NJIT for everything else; if the Atlantic Sun is adding Delaware State, NJIT/Monmouth gives them a regional rival.
