If I'm recruiting for softball or soccer I drive by K, point to the facilities and say, "Well, what do you think young lady?"

Then I hope she doesn't figure out that they're not ours.

Funny that you should mention "K" College and the softball field. I was just there a few weeks ago and wasnt blown away at all. No chair backs, no locker room near the field, small press box, aluminum bleachers, nothing special at all. The best I can say for it is that it is new. Rumor has it that my daughter is going to be a student athlete @ K so I guess I'll be getting more familiar with their facilities.

BC, good luck to your daughter at K College. I know that you have invested a lot in her development and isn't it grand to see the payoff?

I appreciate your honest assessment of things. I just find it strange that some people believe that some of our facilities are lacking???????

Always proud to be a Bronco, RTB.

Said the man who calls our bball facilities "the worst in the MAC."

As for DIII K Colleges facilities at worst they're as good as ours.

I think our softball facilities would be considered "average" compared to MAC standards.

I think Akron and Miami are at the top. I wouldn't consider ours WAY behind theirs... but certainly not at the same level.

Thanks Acer, she's a very hard worker both academically and athletically. She had a total of 14 offers from a mix of D1, DII, DIII and NAIA. She really wanted to continue pitching (D1 hitter/DIII pitcher). K wanted her to pitch, so there you have it. I'm sure she'll do fine.

I would agree with that. MAC softball stadiums are in general so-so. With respect to on the field, MAC rep Ball State is going to the Notre Dame regional. Often the MAC rep gets stuck in the Michigan regional which is always tough. ND not so much this year.

This is the first time in years that a MAC school has a fair shot to win an NCAA post season game. I've got a buddy whose kid plays for BSU, so I'm going to root for them.

As I expected BSU beat ND in the first game of NCAA. Weak regional, good opportunity for MAC rep to make some noise.

Our baseball facilities are competitive with the rest of the MAC, but unlike softball SW MI isn't a hotbed of baseball talent. On the otherhand there is virtually no baseball talent in the northern lower yet CMU routinely kicks our ass. Swept the series.

I would say Southwest Michigan is a very good area to find DI baseball players. Not quite on par with softball...but it's pretty close

Hey, I was talking to Chip and the RTT stands for "Row the Tugboat", because I'm not sure he is with the rest of us "jock sniffers".

Always proud to be a Bronco, RTB.
