Mlive's prom coverage
I can't believe I just wrote that subject title, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Mlive.com's prom coverage is out of control. I've never seen a prom season covered so thoroughly in my entire life.

I'm glad Mlive has its best and brightest reporters covering prom season. Too bad the websites from the local TV stations are so shabby. We could really use a serious alternative to Mlive. And fast.

What's wrong with in depth prom coverage? Everyone wants to read it! You probably have a problem with this gem too 03-hissyfit

They'll do anything to get a click.

It's actually very sad how terrible they have become at just trying to get clicks. Very little journalism going on over there.

RE: Mlive's prom coverage
Today my print version Sunday Gazette showed up with out the front page, the local and regional sports pages, etc. they only sent the advertising and fluff sections, Home, Entertainment, etc. Have they finally given up on even the pretense of being about journalism, and decided to just go with advertising? Sure seems that way.

RE: Mlive's prom coverage
Haven't seen any MLive articles on WMU Spring sports (including MAC Softball tourney) for awhile.

K-College still gets solid coverage only because their SID posts stories himself.

They are asking HS coaches to post their own results (as opposed to calling in) now. Many feature articles are written by student "reporters" from the schools themselves.

It's like they're not even trying anymore.

MLive is particularly bad regarding 'clicks', Susan Demas loves to write inflammatory headlines just to get lots of 'clicks' and comments. She's an intellectual dwarf, but knows where how her bread is buttered.

RE: Mlive's prom coverage
I misread the thread title. I thought it said Mlive's porn coverage. I was like, "Hey, where's the link to that part??"
