Getting closer at least.
It's almost comical how small our old press box was.

The new pressbox looks great. It's going to definitely add to the atmosphere of your games. I'm so ready for us to get our end zone facility built because it will help add to the atmosphere in our stadium since we will finally have a closed in stadium The facilities arms race is definitely on in the Sun Belt.

The new Arkansas State Press Box looks great. The facility arms race is definitely on. If yall are interested this is what the plan is for the upper deck of Cajun Field. We really need to get Tier II going to keep up with Arkansas State. Do yall have pictures of the new IPF.

Just for clarification, it is called the Student Activities Center or SAC. So yes, we have large SAC now.03-lmfao

Great facilities! Very impressive...

But I'm really loving that signature gif....what's the story behind that one?

Well, Im sure someone on here can tell the whole story better, but here's what I remember.

It's from stAte vs. Troy 2012, it's a close game and apparently there'd been a lot of trash talking back and forth between the teams. StAte player Don Jones, now w/Miami Dolphins, got into a a little extra curricular on the edges with one of the Troy players, Troy player gives chase, and Don Jones decides to end it with a bodyslam. Initially cost him a one-game suspension, then got it dropped to the first half of next game.

There was no need because stAte went out next and played the most perfect football game (literally) I've ever witnessed by blowing MTSU out 45-0 and winning the SBC.

He returned for the bowl game. And pretty much was the only reason Dri Archer didnt score a billion TDs on us. Thus, stAte won it's first bowl game.

He later gained infamy by tweeting out "OMG" and "Horrible" when Michael Sam was drafted. 03-lmfao

However, he's still one of nicest players I've ever met in person.07-coffee3
One of my favorite plays of his career...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmMg4lmoito#t=1m45s”

P.S. Im sure one of the Cajuns will spin it as Blake Anderson's fault.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I've seen this. I read all about it but it was just not really put out there for all to view. I'm laughing out loud watching it now just because I can remember Jones demeaner. I remember watching him dunk a basketball however you asked him to in the gym at church one Sunday. I was like...."who is the muscular kid that can fly?". He is just a freakish athlete.

Yes, it was posted right after the incident. Then quickly taken down and swept under the rug. Luckily nothing on the internet goes away!

I was really bummed after his freshman season @stAte that he went to a JUCO. I thought he would be a good RB for the future. Then, all of a sudden he comes back as a freakishly athlete "rover" on defense! Rarely do you see a player leave a school, go JUCO, and return to the same school much less a different position.
He is responsible for two of the biggest plays leading us to a titles/bowl wins. The first is was in 2011 @ULM. We were behind in the second half, in a place where we've crapped our pants before (Monroe) so many times. Then, he blocks a punt and returns it for a TD and we escape with a win. @ 4:35 here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCcXwRGLh4g&t=4m35s

The second is 2012 GoDaddy Bowl. Kent state's RB breaks out in the open field and DJ runs him down from behind. Lead to a red zone interception and momentum changes to our side. @0:35 here...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmMg4lmoito#t=0m35s

As to his leaping ability, I remember a play @FIU where he Vince Carter'd over Fredic Weis a 6 foot something WR receiver like it was nothing. .

Sorry to derail the thread.02-13-banana

Don Jones was worth the price of admission. I would often just watch him work.

I remember him jumping over the FIU player too. That's what got the attention of my nephews and got them on the road to becoming fans.
