ODU players in NFL camps
Let's move away from long draft thread to a thread with news about ODU kids in camps.

Quick blurb about Heinicke and the Vikings camp, which starts today: http://www.vikings.com/news/article-1/5-...6f97a4e93f

You may also want to follow @pcraigers on twitter--he's a Vikings.com writer.

RE: ODU players in NFL camps
I just read that the Vikings draft picks have selected the numbers that they want to wear. Stefon Diggs, fifth round draft pick out of Maryland selected No. 14 ahead of Heinicke, so TH picked No. 16. So -- at least for now -- we will not be seeing our familiar No 14 at QB for the Vikings this year.

Heinicke wore #6 today.

Ive watched this clipma few times now and finally realized thre is another QB #11 on Taylors side during the first or second throw. Anyone know who he is?? I'm assuming he's a rookie as well.

I was able to run down the following three QBs that were invited to camp. He must be one of them.

UW-Whitewater QB Matt Behrendt
Southern Illinois QB Kory Faulkner
Tuskegee QB Rashard Burkette

I think these guys are basically just bodies needed to work with receivers, and they have only low expectations for truly competing for a position -- but you never know.

You're probably right. The camera was focused entirely on TH.

RE: ODU players in NFL camps
Just read on sbnation (blog, I think) evaluating TH and others ,including Ross, on the second day. The writer mentions TH's poor arm strength. This makes me wonder. How doesa QB develop arm strength? If it's just a matter of lifting weights, why hasn't TH already done this. Is there more to arm strength than just size of your arms? What does he need to do to gain strength? anyone know? The writer did notice and comment favorably on Ross.

I think this is the reference OD spoke to:

http://www.dailynorseman.com/2015/5/9/85...ice-review

The writer did have positive comments on TH's movement in the pocket and his accuracy.

As a Raiders fan I will wax poetic about how glorious Rich Gannon's arm strength was.

Here is video of the second day of the Vikings Rookie Mini-Camp. TH does a great job of threading a pass into tight coverage, and hits a perfect pass to the outside shoulder on another throw. Looking good!

Neat to see Richard Ross mentioned. I wonder what number he is wearing?

#14? At the 1:30 mark you see a "Ross" makes few plays. Looks small though. Maybe there's another Ross in Camp?

Think Ross is #85 in camp, he caught a TD from TH during scrimmage. There is some video on FB.
