Louisville, Purdue to open 2017 in Lucas Oil Stadium
Sweet! Makes sense. Two regional schools playing in a neutral site in Indy. Now hopefully we can get Indiana on the schedule soon. Louisville-Kentucky-Indiana should play each other every season.

RE: Louisville, Purdue to open 2017 in Lucas Oil Stadium
once they go to 9 conference games, Purdue and Indiana should play at Lucas Oil Stadium at the end of every season.
Since they now play on Thanksgiving week, nobody is on campus anyway.
Same. with Gophers last game on Thanksgiving week against Wisconsin. When the game is at Minnesota, they should play at the Vikings new stadium on Black Friday evening.

Another chance for the B1G to show the ACC who's boss, just like in hoops!

Illinois is moving its Thanksgiving weekend games against Northwestern to Soldier Field starting next for year for that reason of students being off-campus.
I think it makes sense for Purdue-Indiana to be in Indianapolis (about as true of a 50/50 neutral site game as you can get). It's not nearly as compelling for Minnesota since the new Vikings stadium is so close to campus, anyway (so it doesn't make sense to move the game off-campus).

I would imagine the advantaqe would be the ticket distribution, where since no one there already has season tix, you can split the gate 50/50

More seats and a more "big time", bowl game atmosphere.
Vikings stadium is going to host Super Bowl 2018, Final Four 2019 and bidding for CFP NCG in 2020.

If so, the Big Ten should have substituted another school for Purdue.
