How much do you think alumni contribute?

We always hear how UC does not support it's athletic teams enough financially. They get dumped on. When UC is doing something, such as building facilities to compete or pull funding from the student body, which 95% of the Universities do, they are ripped for it.
The article is nothing new. I knew there was a small portion of my tuition going to the athletic department. It is called reading the fine print. Did anyone really think those fball/bball tics were really complimentary? Some schools, such as osu, have forced students to pay.
Just another trash piece courtesy of the Cincy Media.
Calling "City Beat" the media is like calling Miller Lite a craft beer
Considering the swill that comes out of the Enquirer/Channels 5/9/12 and 700wlw, I would consider them equals.

From the student's classwork article:
The athletic department’s four-year hidden tax may very well exceed $4,000 per student. In 2014 the subsidy rose to more than $27 million, a 25-percent increase.
But its not a hidden tax...every student, every future potential student can easily access this information and find out how much (approx) their student-athletic fee will be.
At most Univ, there are even Student Representation that votes with Board members on student athletic fees, plus all other fees associated with universities today (health fee, parking fee, technology etc...).
The whining AFTER the fact, when information is available up front reminds me of those that major in liberal arts or educaiton, etc...and are SHOCKED at some of the job offers and salaries they are offered upon graduation.
That info is out there for all to see...especially before one decides on their major...yet they choose not to spend 5 seconds researching said info and or worse, just ignore it and hopes it just gets better...then they whine when they start their professional career.

Fortunately it's only City Beat and only the anti-sports super-Hipsters in Northside will read this.
