RE: For Tiger fans considering cutting the cable... CBS Sports available on Apple TV
I've got 3 Apple TV's, two of the 720P 2's and just bought a 1080P 3. One thing the Apple TV has over other devices I've used is their Netflix implementation, it's smooth as silk, never a glitch if the bandwidth changes. I'm on Uverse 18 Mb/S internet and they do not throttle content which helps a bunch too. Another thing about the Apple is the optical audio output which meshes well with my surround setup.

My kids watch it over regular TV.

We will probably cut the cable soon, as soon as I figure out how to stream all local channels and sports channels live.

I use an antenna for local. The antennas now work great. mine is like a sheet of paper. Picture quality is also better than local channels through my cable.

The HD picture is far superior via antenna vs. cable / SAT. I live a good distance from the transmitters here in Huntsville so I had to go with a rooftop and I get around 25 channels. Sling was a welcomed relief.

I recently tried to cancel all the premium channels I have except for the sports package and my bill would jump about $20 a month. I hate Comcast but have no other options. I should threaten to cancel, but I'm afraid I'd get the one person in the department that would just do it and not send me to the retention department.

Cut the cord 2 months ago and haven't looked back. $60 per month cheaper too.

I've never noticed a hitch in Netflix on Amazon Firesticks or XBox One.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think CBS Sports channel on any streaming device has live content or even replays of entire games. It is not like the Watch ESPN channel. I have had a Roku for about 2 years now. The CBS Sports channel is very disappointing.

I did too...saving close to $100 a month

I have TW Roadrunner now with Lifeline cable (they threw it in for basically nothing) Funny thing is my Lifeline of about 15 channels is closer to 70 channels. I have Amazon Prime, SlingTV with the ESPNU option and Roku3.

My summer home uses an antenna (great HD picture)...I'm getting Internet installed next week and expect to use Amazon Prime, Roku and SlingTV.

The only downside is my wife is utterly confused with how to make it all work. COGS

That is hilarious and so true.
