Jeremiah Davis - 6th year?
Tom Davis had an article in the Fort Wayne newspaper a few weeks ago about BSU hoops. He said that BSU is trying to get a 6th year for Davis due to medical hardships over the years. If Davis was granted that extra year, that would be terrific.

Jeremiah Davis - 6th year?
How many years does he have left? Has he expended his eligibility? He cannot apply for a sixth year until he finishes his 5th

RE: Jeremiah Davis - 6th year?
The idea of applying for a 6th year for Davis was mentioned when he first transferred to Ball State. It was due to all the time he had missed at Cincinnati. I didn't hear it get mentioned in the press since then. So this was the first I had heard of it as well since then. But Tom Davis made it sound like BSU will try. I don't know whether it's a long shot or a real possibility that the NCAA will grant any petition made.

Well, Davis can't apply for a sixth until he completes his 5th. And if the process takes as long as it did with David Brown, he won't know until July or August if it's approved. Which puts Ball St in a tough position scholarship-wise. Technically ball at can sign someone to replace Davis just in case he doesn't get approved. If he does get approved, BSU can have 14 guys on scholarship for the 2016/17 season but then would have to bump down to 12 the following year. Hawkins and WMU decided against doing that...IMO because they had a relatively good idea that brown would be approved.

Looked at his Cincinnati stats. He played in the first 4 games of his second year and the first 6 games of his third year. Can see why BSU has some optimism for a 6th year.
