The PhD kids run the plantation from the ivory tower. The HS dropout kids feed the system.

I have found that a majority of PhDs are socially awkward and outside of their specific field, clumsy in thought. (I was on the Board of Trustees of a college and had significant exposure to the PhD class in various social contexts.) I came to the conclusion that the very bright yet awkward, gravitate towards academia.

On the other hand, the very bright with highly developed social skills tend towards running America's corporations. And they tend to be Republicans and in the 1%.

Oh I'm sure that some lib will list successful businessmen who are Democrats, but the very ability to name these individuals shows how they are the exceptions.

The same way it's pretty easy to name Republican/Conservative actors and actresses. People make a big deal out of their political alignment because they are the exceptions.

I think his analogy was too broad. There are no doubt countless successful businessmen who are democrats, but I would wager there are significantly less CEO's that are known democrats.

I'm sure I missed some posts that belong here and apologize, but rather than give most of the room here 'points', I moved the numerous posts that are clear violations of the AUP, plus the previously un-moderated thread to the now un-moderated WWE. Maybe but I live in a city that has had 50 years of Democratic control and a very active business community. When I talked to other business leaders at places like the Chamber of Commerce affairs, etc., I could only identify a couple of Dems and they were people benefiting from local government contracts. Also, at political fund raisers, the business community overwhelmingly supported the Republicans.

Treat your neighbor as you would like to be treated. That pretty much covers it.
