Congratulations to Coach Tudor and the team on our First place finish in the regular season. Miranda Kramer pitched her 3rd no-hitter of the season to capture the regular season title. Kramer has been absolutely dominant this season. She has an ERA of .79 and has 362 strikeouts in 196 innings of work. Opponents are only hitting .125 against her. She is allowing less than 3 hits per game. Earlier this season she was drafted 6th overall by the Pennsylvania Rebellion (A National Pro Fastpitch Team).

The C-USA Tournament begins May 7 in Miami, FL.

WKU Wins the C-USA Tournament Championship. Miranda Kramer was dominant in all 3 games. The first game of the Tournament she threw a perfect game against Charlotte. Friday, she gave up only 2 hits against UAB. Today, she only gave up 3 hits to Florida Atlantic. We won by the scores of 1-0, 3-1, and 3-1. Kramer struck out 44 in her 3 complete game victories. She shattered the old record of 34 strikeouts for a C-USA Tournament. Carleigh Chaumont came up huge for us in the 6th inning. In the top of the inning she threw out a runner at the plate. In the bottom of the inning she hit a 2-run double to the left center gap to give us the 3-1 lead.

Miranda Kramer was named the Tournament MVP. The Selection Show will be Tomorrow night at 9 p.m. CT on ESPNU.

Freakin sucks. Our girls wanted to go home because the school year ended yesterday. I went to every home game, and I saw them play so bad Thursday. Couldnt believe my eyes. Likely to get 2-4 teams in the tourney.
