Charlotte lost 6-3. Good game though. Had the tying run and one of our best hitters at the plate in the 9th.

UAB beats FAU 6-0. First time Owls have been shutout in their last 59 games.

Here's another way to look at our Friday problem.....today was our first time not to lose on a Friday since our first game of the year....our most recent Friday win before today was in a doubleheader against La Tech in which we split.

And the beloved Blue come from behind to steal one from the hated Hill Toppers 5-4. Way to go MT! We stay tied for First for one more day. And it was on national TV no less. Love me some Fox Sports 2.
Even the country folk up in Bowling Green got to see it.

That stat about our Friday record isn't exactly right. Everyone forgets the UAB series started on Thursday because of Easter. We lost the opener and won on Friday. We also played a doubleheader on Friday against FAU which we split.
Probably more accurate to say our problem is series openers where we're now 3-9.

Pitching staff hasn't allowed a run in 27 innings. Final 9 of the 17 inning marathon against South Alabama and two shutouts of Marshall.

We left 9 runners on base...the max if course, in the first three innings while scoring one run on and infield hit. We won, somehow. Had to steal home also

Completely forgot about the UAB series starting on Thursday and the FAU series started with a DH on Friday. Thanks for the heads up

After Saturday's action finished up there's a little separation along the way.

1st through 3rd place is separated by 1 game
3 games between 3 and 4
4th through 7th place is separated by 1.5 games
2 games between 7 and 8
8th through 11th is separated by 1 game

We are playing ourselves right out of the conf. tournament. Not good. It's time to get hot.
