What i am trying to examine is the different way those involved in certain forms of racing view their racing facilities as compared to how the rest of the sporting community view the facilities.

Every form of racing views certain facilities in their form as famous facilities. Some actually are and some are not. Trying to examine if their dedication to their form of racing misleads them to believing a facility is more recognizable than it actually is. Best way to do this is to ask people who do not follow the sport what facilities they recognize.

Talladega...only because I drove past it so many times going to Atlanta.

Daytona...only because I drove around it drunk in 1972 at 4 in the morning in a 1964 Cadillac convertible (funny story for another day).

Middle Georgia Raceway in Byron Georgia...only because I was at the 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival in a field by the racetrack.

And I'm only a ball fan, not a racing fan at all. I love to ball.
