ACC 9
PAC 9
SEC 7
B1G 3
B12 2
G5 2
Interesting to see ACC and PAC ahead of SEC...also surprising to have B1G and Big 12 so low. G5 pics were from UCONN and UCF.
These totals mean nothing. Look how many players Pac12 member Washington had taken in the first round, and they weren't exactly world beaters.
By that logic, the Big 12's 2 don't count, either, because they didn't come from TCU or Baylor.

Sounds good.
Let it be known: judging conferences by NFL First Round Draftees is bunk.

RE: OT: NFL 1st Round Draft
This thread was not intended to judge conferences as much as point out the fact that the ACC and PAC are actually closing the gap with the SEC in regards to pure athletic talent. For example, Duke had a 1st rounder for the 1st time since Spurrier was there. maybe the FSU schedule was not as poor as the pundits preached. I'm an SEC guy, but will admit the PAC was the best conference top to bottom in 2014.
The B1G had a down year for O lineman, but the B1G has fewer early entries into the draft on average than most conferences. Ohio State will have 2-3 next year. However, the small amount of Big12 draftees has become a bit of a pattern in recent drafts that is hard to completely ignore.
I agree that the representation on NFL rosters is a truer measuring stick, and the SEC currently owns that commensurate with performance in the BCS era.
