BYU may be playing in the Hawaii bowl this year. We are also scheduled to play in the Hawaii bowl this year. We were scheduled to play MWC previously

Posters on the MWC board are saying the MWC will vacate this bowl and play in another one. So, bowl could be AAC vs. BYU. Somewhat good news, I guess.

My understanding...BYU will play in either Hawaii or LV bowl in either 15 or 19. If they play in Hawaii in 15, then they will play in LV in 19, and vice versa. Opponent in Hawaii bowl will be AAC. MWC is scheduled to vacate Hawaii bowl once over their bowl cycle and play in Armed Forces bowl instead. So in either 15 or 19 Hawaii bowl may be AAC vs. BYU. That is my understanding in reading the articles posted here and on MWC forum.

Isn't the LV Bowl their only bowl vs a P5 team?

They would vacate their LV bowl slot for a slot in the AFB vs the Big 10, so they would still have a so called "P5" opponent.

This is correct. It's nice to finally have a little variability in the bowl destination this year. It still gives the appearance of something to play for after the first loss.
